well heres my attempt to express the indescribable:
i discovered marillion and steve hogarth only 10 days ago, and i have been listening to the 3 albums i bought pretty much constantly for the whole time, even during setup at the stages i have been running, and the driving in between. it has been many years since i have heard a band or artist that has impelled me to want to collect everything that they write. really the effect is indescribable. im relatively speechless...
a friend of mine left a youtube video of 'neverland' open before he left a coupla weeks ago and i ended up hearing it because my firefox windows all re opened on a computer reboot... WHAT is THAT i said, as youtube content just starts playing automatically.... the rest, i imagine for most marillion fans, is history... i mean, is NOW!!!
this is the first solo performance i have heard, and ill have to say, i FULLY enjoy the voice and piano as much as the full band! (that is absolutely NOT to say i love marillion just as much!)
now if i can just get the other montreal show!
